Today we did gardening. And I mean "we" as in "I," of course. The kids were very excited about finally planting all the seeds I bought to show my preschool class. They were, however, less interested in all the prep work that goes along with the planting -- digging up the soil, pulling out the weeds, and still raking up more leaves than I care to admit. So, we planted a hydrangea from Easter, some daisy and alyssum seeds in the side yard, and flower seeds in this bucket. Thomas is determined to plant tomatoes, watermelon and corm in our backyard. I don't have the heart to tell him that we don't have the optimal light and soil for these, so we'll plant them and see what happens (or not!).
