I've amassed quite a collection of washi tape, tissue tape and fabric tape. And I stumbled on this great idea by Marcy Penner to keep track of your washi tape. I thought it was a good idea at the time, but didn't realize how useful it could be until I ran out of my favorite tape - the one I can't seem to find anywhere and have no idea what company it's from.
So... with a hurricane coming through the area I thought it'd be a good project to work on, especially if the power went out, which I fully expected it to do.
I used Avery white marking tags and decided to leave the strings on the tags attached. As you can see, I was able to get several tapes on each tag. I kept manufacturers and collections together rather than organizing by color or pattern.
I thought about knotting the strings together, but decided for now just to twist them into a loop and secure them with a binder clip. This will make adding additional tags easier. Which is good, because in my search to track down brands I kinda found more washi tape I *really* couldn't live without....
But honestly, this little tag collection is just fun to look at. I've got it hung up on my bulletin board.
