I'm finally starting to go through and print out photos from our trip to France earlier this month. We spent three days in Talloires, France on Lac d'Annecy. It was just gorgeous. Including the old section of the town Annecy which was full of canals, little shops, gelato, and outdoor cafes. And can you see the mountains in the background?! Lovely!
I spent the better part of last Friday at ScrapbooksPlus with Karen and Susie, trying to work through quite a few monthly kits and miscellaneous paper I'd picked up. I managed to finish one layout (well, mostly) and put together the bones for a good handful of others - including this one. A few photos, title and a few elements cut from my Silhouette and I was good to go.
When I meet up with friends I've found that taking stacks of paper (usually monthly kits) works really well for me. I usually take my kits out of their envelope and recently I've just been stacking them up on top of each other. I've collected quite a pile of pattern paper on my desk.
So, I grabbed all of this paper into one pile of about 2" (yup, lots of paper) and started sifting through it pulling out pieces that could work together. Once I get several piles together I decide on background paper and put together bases, usually 2 - 3 pieces of pattern paper on top of my background. I lightly tack it together in case I change my mind once I add photos (which frequently happens).
For this layout I used paper from the January and March Cocoa Daisy kits and some Basic Grey in this layout. The title is from Kerri Bradford. And all I needed to put the whole thing together was my bottle of the Best Glue Ever.
